Guest guest Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 to our wonderful family, we are sending everyone warm thoughts for a happy healthy holiday season full of love, joy, merriment, and memories to hold tight for the years to come... we are now in our new home, Ashton has seen her new set of doctors... I like them, its a change, we had her old doctor for 12 years so this is a hard transition on us in many ways... but the new doctor seems very nice, educated, and open to our plan for Ashton, even told us where to get Ashton's nails done lol.... we live in a gated community surrounded by water... which makes ash happy..... i don't know why it's gated,,, there are cows behind us and water on the other it's quite funny.... to say i live in "monkey island oklahoma' wonder how long that will take me to get used too... i went to my new job, met my boss, they have a beautful chapel right in the front door and a bird thinggee.... i am going to start after the holidays.... i need to get ashton's medicaid straightened out, get her settled and find out what services if any she can get here... if she can't get any personal care, then i will need to find someone two days a week so my mom can have a break... cameron is great...growing up... sighhhhhhhhhh can't believe he will be a senior....so glad all of us are together this xmas.... something that will be in my heart forever... ashton's health status is this... she is considered terminal... she has good days and bad days..we are letting her live her life based on what Ashton wants. some days are just laying in bed watching disney movies all day, some days she has more energy and likes to "go car now' and drive and look at the water.... of course we have to stop at a sonic and get a nilla shake hahhaha.... she has now started signing food in her sleep.... cheeseburger, hot dog, milk, cookies pizza... all of her favorites.... my angelic carb kid....she has lost about ten pounds but is holding steady.... we took xmas pictures in joplin missouri,,,, and we were able to take her o2 off for the pictures, or rather she pulled it off lol... i just want to say thank you and we love all of you.... the support, love, prayers and continued support.... i am sitting in the dark looking at the sparkle of the lights and i am looking at the shine... life is all about shining.... i am thankful for life this year..... thankful for the chance to have the wonderful to be with my son, angelic daughter, husband and parents on this xmas day.... i hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season full of love, laughter, good health, merriment and joy... love to all, leah -monkey island lolll mom to ashton 20 ds, asd, alz and a ton of others.... cameron almost 17 thinks he is 21 lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
