There are quite a few families in the Philly area that are also on this list. They may be able to help your sister. As for tuning out society because of our kids, I think we have all felt that way at some point in our lives. We don't fit in with the local DS groups, nor do we fit with the ASD groups. Donna, also from Philly, placed her daughter in Melmark and is very satisfied with their services. Maddie also did her schooling there before going into residential housing. I think she's 15-16 y/o.
