Gareth is 23 y/o and will starting the IVG infusions as soon as the insurances put it through. Over the past several years, we have found he has numerous immune deficiencies and has always been a sick kid. I am hoping the infusions improve the way he feels. As for , when Gareth was that age, he was a horrible head banger and SIB. We started him on Risperdal at age 10 and the SIB's stopped......AND.....he started to communicate with us. Not full sentences but 2 - 3 words in a row that were enough for us to comprehend what was going on. Even at his age now, Gareth still can't relate pain correctly (unless it's pneumonia) all the time. aA months after he started the Risperdal, he told me *food tube hurt*. That is when we found that his esophagus was like raw meat.....see recent post. Before that, we put up with the SIB's. Take care, Everyone.
