Guest guest
I can't be positive Sue, but I believe that you may be our ONLY from Ontario - altho there are a few people from BC area. Welcome to our list - if I forgot to answer sooner. Our son Elie is amongst the older ones - with Gareth and Matteo - as he is 26 yo. He is also different from them in at least 2 ways . Elie is not selectively mute - He can and does make himself and his needs and wants known. Of course that doesn;t mean that he is willing or able to hold a conversation of any length. Most conversations are 1-2 word concentrations on the subject at hand . Elie also lives away from home. HE lives with his friend who is is caregiver. They live the life of carefree bachelors. Since 's sole job is Elie - and Elie's sole job is being Elie , they get along fine. In the community they spend time helping 's family who consists ossf 4 elderly and ill grandparents and 's parents. They drive them places, help with shopping, do yard owrk or house work for them, and then spend evenings socializing with those young men in the communtiy with whom has grown up. Certainly not as stressful as living with us - for either of us. Elie typically comes home for one long w/e a month at which time goes and " plays " and Elie gets to go to flea markets and out to eat with us. > ** > > > > Hi Margaret: > > I actually replied earlier to your question, but I don't think my message > was posted.
