Guest guest
I work in a group child care center. I have learned that you don't wait for someone else to call protective services. If you see it you call, including parents. There doesn't have to be enough evidence for police to file charges. Child protective services have things they can do to remove someone from that field if the agency believes the person injured a child. At least that is the way it is in Wisconsin. Guest guest
I have two words for that: BULL SH** What about small children or nonverbal allegedly abused by their parents? They need not be able to testify!!! This kind of governmental immunity makes me so sick I want to curse!! Report it to DFCS, but be forewarned that they make place the blame back on the PARENTS!! Before long, parents are going to take the law into their own hands and not a darn thing can be done about it because there is going to be an angry mob on their hands. > > We had something similar happen this summer. Aden came home from ESY with scratches all over his chest bruises on both upper arms and one shoulder and a laceration to his wrist. I called the cops and reported it to the school. Even though the teacher admitted that she had scratched him she denied that she had caused the bruises and the cut. She had some lame excuse about that Aden had been falling and that she tried to catch him and accidentally scratched him. We were told by the cops that there was nothing we could do since Aden could not testify. It still makes me just livid! That a child can actually be bruised and scratched and cut and it still isn & #39;t enough to get action from the authorities. The school said they would put in a request for retraining since she failed to file an accident report and moved Aden to another class. Not exactly my idea of adequate action, but since I don & #39;t have the money to hire an attorney and sue there is nothing > more I can do. Frustrating as heck! > > > Mom to Aden 8 and Aren 4 > > >
Guest guest
Yes, you must remember that when a doctor reports, then they are reporting the *suspected abuse of the child* not the entitiy because they know not WHO did this (unlees they saw the person do it). What happens is another corrupt entity gets involved (DFCS) and then they turn it around on the parents and the parents get investigated and a tick on their record. Trust me, been there before!! And a local US Senator was killed because we tried to do something about DFCS. > > > Subject: Re: Re: Fulton County GA looking for other cases!! > To: > Date: Tuesday, August 23, 2011, 11:27 AM > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > We had something similar happen this summer. Guest guest
In GA, DFCS is corrupt, as are the police. > > > I work in a group child care center. Guest guest
We took pics and took him to the doc the next day. Unfortunately this happened on a Friday and the docs office was already closed when I saw it so I took him to the urgent care the next morning. I made sure that the report from the urgent care doc stated that my child was being seen for documentation of injuries received at school. We were lucky that the teacher admitted to the scratches because it was very obvious that all the injuries happened the same day. Isnt the school supposed to report any incident to the department of Ed? I was unaware that the parent could report. I insisted on filing a informational report with the police. At least if she does this again there will be a paper trail. The ESY school said that they would send a copy of the report to Adens regular school and they didn & #39;t so now I am in the process of getting a copy included which is an ordeal in itself because we have to go through a FERPA file review first and then request a correction to include the report. Never a dull moment. Hugs Mom to Aden 8 and Aren
