Guest guest
So my son officially started school on Sep. 9th I though mostly everything was going to be ok well it was not like always. I don't know if I'm making it a big deal to think that a bus with no AC is a big deal. Last week our days were pretty hot over 100 when my son on the first day of school was dropped off he was in petty bad shape because of the heat. He could not walk his cloths were stuck to his skin because of how sweaty I was so scared he was going to pass out or something I grabbed a cool water bottle and gave it to him. Then started taking everything off he already had a heat rash all over his back and this was not during school time since the school said the children played indoors because of the heat. I'm so angry at the school that they will allow this, I called the school they told me they can't do anything because it's a contracted agency that handles the transportation so I called transportation and they said well it's the only bus that goes to that school so we can't move him to another bus, so I called support unit north that is in charged of my son's school and she said I can't do anything about busses you need to talk to transportation. Well thats how it all went, my son is home since his first day of school because I think putting him on that bus would be torture in the heat and not one is willing to do anything or just think it's not a big deal. It's a big deal with me because I'm not going to put my son in that situation and have something bad happen to him I'm just not but not sure what else to do. The school has not called me back with any answers since I told him my son will be staying home till this matter is resolve and I think the only answer will be for me to quit my job so I can drive him to school even though I would hate to do that. Someone told me I should type a letter and place a complain but I don't even know how to word it so that they know they need to do something. Or am I just being tooooooooooooo over protective of my only child? all input is welcomed
