Guest guest
, thanks for writing to give us information about chemo for treating RA. This was very thoughtful of you. I am saddened to read about the passing of your Mother, God Bless you. Hugs June
Guest guest
, Thank you for letting us know about your mother. I am sorry for your loss. My aunt, one of the few in my family with RA besides me, died of lung cancer a few years ago. When they discovered it, it had already spread to her brain. She had radiation treatments, but they didn't even try chemo, her cancer was so far advanced. It seems that this type of cancer is one of the worst to have. Jennings, who used to be the anchor on ABC news, just lived a few months after he found out he had it. I smoked for over 30 years before I finally quit 10 years ago, so I certainly hope I stopped in time. I hope your good memories of her will sustain you. Guest guest
, I never met your mom (I have only been a member since April), but I offer my condolences. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for lupus, and, yes, it has helped. They are finding new chemo treatments that are less hard on your body, and that smaller doses are needed for autoimmune disorders. I'm sorry she did not respond well to the doses necessary to treat her cancer.
