Liz, I am so sorry that I didn't ask about Tori. I thought of it after I sent

the post. I never did touch base with Cyndi last night. I sat down to watch tv

for a few minutes and fell asleep. I have been burning the candle at both ends

lately. I am off to run for stock and a state meeting. I will post an update

this afternoon.

Charlyne,

Cyndi left me a message this morning. She said 's Liver and Kidneys were

slowly doing better. They still have him on the ventilator and have him

paralyzed to keep him from pulling everything out when he wakes. He does have

MRSA on his face for the first time. She said she had not spoken to the doctors

this morning yet. They have her talking with infectious diseases. She is

hoping for some news and said she would update us once she hears more. She

sounded stronger and better today than when I spoke to her day before yesterday.

Liz, so glad Tori is doing well after surgery. Loved the photos on facebook.

That is a might big cast but I guess that will keep her off it for awhile.

Some better news - but at least better news.

I've been thinking of and praying for , but struggling to write. I so very

much hope that he will get better soon. Such intense hospital situations are so

incredibly difficult. When Darwyn was little, he got very ill after his first

heart surgery and he had to go back to the ICU. One day, my parents stayed with

Darwyn while my husband and I went out for an anniversary lunch. It is one of my

treasured memories because we talked about what sort of funeral we would plan,

what we would say, and what we would do if Darwyn didn't get better. I cried

almost nonstop, but it was so good to actually discuss our deepest fears and

then to plan in some way how we would face them. I think for so many of us

whose kids have serious health problems, its so good to have this list to share

our worries in a space where we know our children's lives are valued and

celebrated. Where there isn't the lurking suspicion that the other person

thinks we'd be better off if our children didn't survive.

So, please pass along my love and prayers to and Cyndi.
