Guest guest
Hi Tammy: Are you taking the Mobic with food? Any anti-inflammatory should be taken with food as they all can cause stomach upset. Try taking it at night and maybe you will be able to sleep thru the nausea. It takes some time for the med to start working - how long have you been taking it. Mobic is supposed to be one of the meds less likely to cause stomach problems - maybe you just have a very sensitive tummy. Any medication makes my daughter sick unless she takes it with food, and even then some of them still do. Celebrex was good for me but I stopped it due to the Vioxx scare - Bextra might help but I have read on some posts that it is in short supply. Just talk to your doctor and see if there is something else you can try - I am sure he has samples of a few in his office. Good luck - Kathe in CA --- clarabell4ever2000 <clarabell4ever2000@...> wrote: > Well the Mobic is doing nothing, except to make me > sick on my > stoumach. If anyone has any suggestions about a med > that I can ask my > family DR. for untill my rheum.appt.(ocot.28th)would > be greatly > appreciated.Thanks!!-Tammy- > > > Kathe in CA __________________________________ - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail. Guest guest
Tammy, I am sorry to hear the Mobic didn't work for you. I have taken most of the anti-inflammatory meds, and they all make me sick. What other meds are you taking? I know these type of meds do help, and I hope that you can find one that is right for you. Good luck, Tawny > Well the Mobic is doing nothing, except to make me sick on my > stoumach. If anyone has any suggestions about a med that I can ask my > family DR. for untill my rheum.appt.(ocot.28th)would be greatly > appreciated.Thanks!!-Tammy-

Guest guest
Kathe, Bextra was removed from the market many months ago for the same reasons as Vioxx. I have heard they are reformulating it and hope to have it back on the market soon. You can still by Bextra from mexico pharmacies and other overseas pharmacies but it is NOT available in the US. I know because it was the only -2 that I could take and now I am left with basicly nothing. I have lodine XL but it causes stomach problems. Toni in Texas In a message dated 9/16/05 2:49:39 P.M. Guest guest
Bextra was taken off the market. Celebrex is the only -2 still left. That's what I take now, but it doesn't work nearly as well as Bextra, plus it raises my blood sugar.
