Guest guest
<<Just to clarify, when you mentioned " D " levels, you are talking about Dopamine levels, correct????>> Hi, Everyone...Liz....yes....I was too lazy to write out Dopamine and Amantadine every time!!! ....no....this has nothing to do with Vitamin D. It's the brain chemical Dopamine. Sorry for the confusion. Low vit D levels have been known to cause autoimmune issues, though. <<Am I remembering correctly that Gareth has " changed " significantly in the last few years?>> Karyn....Gareth has *gone downhill* cognitively, verbally, and physically over the past 4 - 5 yrs. First, he was hit with sine Scleroderma at age 18, then those 18 months of being on seizure meds when it wasn't true epileptic seizures, then those 3 serious bouts of pneumonia, and a horrible reaction to Lyrica/Dilantin thrown in for good measure. There's been talk of seasonal/severe depression vs early onset Alzheimer for the past 2 yrs. Like I said a month ago, he was a walking shell of the Gareth we knew from before....vegging in his hammock swing all day, totally unwilling to do anything and mostly uncommunicative. I'm happy tonight!!! Take care, Everyone. Margaret Mom to Gareth, 23 y/o, DS/ASD/OCD
