It's been so long since I've posted here....not sure I can even remember how!

Kara was on a gluten/casein free diet....along with MANY other things

free....for 2 1/2 years. This was based on a food sensitivity test she had. We

recently had the test repeated and she can now eat a lot more foods! For me, I

immediately wrapped my heart around her going on the diet but it took me a few

months to get my brain around it. We have an awesome health food store here

called, Native Sun. A lady from there spent three hours with me going through

the store and giving me ideas based on Kara's food list.

The main thing I've found is - Kara is eating the most healthy of any of us! In

fact, she's eating the foods that my Mom used to cook when I was growing up.

What's " HIT ME " like a ton of bricks in how unhealthy I've been cooking all of

these years - going for the convenience foods. I'm now cooking fresh veggies

using Earth Balance instead of butter (for squash for example), etc....

And - we were just on vacation and she continued on her specialized diet on

vacation! I packed some of her snacks but really, it's all about making the

healthy choices and just finding what she likes (special noodles for example).

Hope this helps you on your journey! Oh - and I TOTALLY believe that this diet

does help her!
