Guest guest
Aloha All! What a glorious Saturday evening it was for Aubrey and her " Skills Trainer from Heaven " -Jen! I've found the first online photo of the two of them as we are still waiting for our family to send digital photos by email. It is gorgeous and clear, thus in it, you can actually see the photo that PFH Co-Founder, Uesugi took of Aubrey and...? You will eventually be able to see Aubrey's and her friends' photos at http://projectfocushawaii.com Pictures of the PFH VIP Reception on Saturday night can be found today at----(Aubrey and Jen are in Photo #7) http://www.nonstophonolulu.com/nightlife/did-this-project-focus-opening-receptio\ n/ Here is an excerpt from the thank you note written to Laurie and last night.... ------------------------------------------------------------- " We are still basking in the light you both shone upon our children last night...it was such an ethereal experience for our family, that I believe it will be a long, long time before our collective feet touch the ground again. Soooo many precious moments...the " red carpet walk " for Aubrey and Jen...finally seeing Aubrey's whole (!) blown-up photo took and really SEEING not only Aubrey's outer, but inner beauty as a young lady for the first time ....watching Aubrey's Godfather (who has not seen her since she was in primary school) walk up to her, shake Aubrey's hand and compliment her on her photos....relishing in Aubrey's new SPED teacher's poignant reaction to Aubrey's photo... What a gift! You ladies have no idea how far-reaching your gift will be for our children in the years to come! Even though you both gave some hints along the way, I really was not prepared to see the photo that Aubrey took of Jen. I truly believe that photo was taken through Aubrey's eyes-through the eyes of God. (I will never care about holding the camera steady again!) In this larger-than-life photo, the world can view Aubrey's under-estimated understanding of life-her photography transcends Aubrey's limited language and ability to express herself-FINALLLY!!!!!! ....And then, when I read what Jen wrote about Aubrey, her words of love for my child-well, I just lost it...and of course, in typical " Aubrey style " she quickly leaned over and gathered all three of us in a looong group hug. (We love you Ms. Jen!) I pray someone in our family got a photo of those precious, precious moments!... Thank you both so very much for which, without question, will be the most profound and proudest night of my beautiful daughter's life!!! " Desi, Aubrey and ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Aubrey-Mommy and Ash are so very proud of you!!! IMUA! You go girl!!! :) Desi, Aubrey (dstr21, pddnos, hearing impaired) and McKenzie Mililani, Hi
