Guest guest
********We NEVER let Elie go to a bathroom alone. If he is with me - ladies room and handicapaped stall. IF with my dh or - mens. OR if it is a single staller, someone stands outside the door - none of this send to bathroom in public places. > So now I have a couple of questions. Those with older kiddos, how do you > manage public rest rooms using my scenerio? I know that DJ must be treated > as a 16 year old but I seriously have qualms about him going unattended into > the mens rest room. > In high school, there was a bathroom in the classroom. But he went to the office shadowed and then unattended and to the gym and a few other select places. But the teacher really workled hard on his checking out before he left class, had someone call from arrival place, and checked in on return. No unknown wandering in h/s I notice now when we go back for a visit, that he checks in at the office and then announces Elie by himself as he goes off to his old classroom, stopping at the cafeteria to hug staff there. Your DJ scenerio would scare the peaches out of me. > > The other question is about balance. Unknown to his teacher, I watched a > video that DJ made at school this year. (Yay, VTech camera!)
