Guest guest
June, it's fantastic that your therapist has brought you such relief. I wish there were a magic wand available for your ankle. > > Tess, Curves is very popular here in Toronto. I personally know several people that go on a regular basis and love it. Loss of muscle for us is a very big problem. After me seeing three specialists and going through every test imaginable they still could not figure out why I couldn't walk. As a last resort I went back to my massage therapist and she told me all the muscles surrounding the knee were very weak and knotted. After 3 treatments I was walking. I then asked her if she could come up with a miracle for my right ankle. My ortho had told me, surgery was the only cure. Because of my last experience in the hospital I am scared to death to face another surgery. I am the most skeptical person but when my massage therapist suggested a combination of massage and acupuncture I said go ahead. This is hard to believe but after my session last Tuesday (she only used one needle) I am walking without a cane. I am going back in two weeks for another treatment. I still have a very painful ankle but at least it is bearable pain. I have gone from 6-8 oxycontin per day to 4. I am also doing daily exercises to build up muscle strength. I would never have believed that loss of muscle strength would have caused so much pain that I could not walk. > > Hugs > June
