<<I'd been thinking of you, wondering if you were seeing any improvement

with the

Carnitine - but if Gareth has been in pain all this time, of course you

won't>>

Hi, Everyone.......I bought a bottle of it but since we were

switching him from Lexapro to Luvox since Jan, I haven't tried it. Besides,

he's been miserable for months....so Dr J and Mr H. Now we know why. I will

keep the bottle and when he's healthy, give it a try.

.....no one has ever said anything about MRSA. He's been on

antibiotics on and off since Dec, so I doubt they would find anything....I don't

know but will ask the ENT on Monday.

Take care, Everyone.

Our son 13 yrs old has had MRSA in his sinus cavity and his right ear before.

We have been battling this for over 1 1/2. The normal antibiotics dont work

with MRSA they may calm the infection down but as soon as you go off it rares

its ugly head. So, Duke put him on Septra an old drug and that worked for a

while but now we are headed for surgery again. They irrigate his sinus, put

beta dine in and take a culture to see what type of infection it is so we know

how to treat it. Its very frustrating! MRSA is tough to get rid of as well and

can spread to others in the family too.

I understand about the MRSA.   has been battling this for just about two

years now, and when he goes off the antibiotics, it comes right the hell back. I

also have Bactroban, an antibiotic cream that I apply, but I have no idea how to

make this go away for good.  I have a book for young adults with Down's and it

states that this is a very common occurence with our kids from the puberty

years.
