weathering the storm

Hi All,

Just wondering how everyone is doing with the ugly weather? I am guessing that

many folks aren't able to take a moment to get online if their kids are home

from school and they are iced or snowed in.... or have had to endure bad

conditions to get to work, or, that worst thing of all, no power!

We had ice covering everything last night- thankfully we were able to keep the

driveway clear enough to get the car out if we needed to. But as ice turned to

rain and froze again, we had some big wind gusts that have finally died down.

Sleep didn't happen for me last night, as I kept hearing the sound of frozen

branches and chunks of ice hit our roof. We haven't lost power, but many in

central Ohio did, and the county just north of us has had tremendous

tree-on-power-lines damage. There was fog this morning, and now it's

snowing.... sort of like all the season but SUMMER in one day, LOL!

Pete has been happy as a clam on snow day number 2, watching old videos,

listening to favorite music. Thank God he doesn't seem to get creeped out by

the sound of the wind!

Hope no one is in harm's way - but prayers for everyone's safety, soothing of

frazzled nerves, and warmth and rest, all the same.
