Guest guest
Wow how scary! I am going to tell this story to my husband who keeps leaving the butcher knife on the counter after he uses it. So far hasn't made an attempt to take it but this proves we never know what they will do next. Thank God she wasn't hurt. Terry Scared the living daylights out of me... Folks: I just have to tell you, Tori almost gave me a stroke late this afternoon. While I was emptying the dishwasher, Tori was talking with me in the kitchen. I turned to put a bowl in the cabinet and when I turned back around (not even 2 seconds) I noticed the LARGE BUTCHER KNIFE I had in the top rack with the blade down, had been moved! And when I turned to her, she was rubbing her neck/shoulder area. She picked it up, dragged it across her neck/shoulder area and put it back! I knew when I turned back around the knife was blade up and in another part of the rack. I was shocked and asked her what she did and she said " Cut my neck! " . OMG!!! I checked her and saw slight redness, but no blood...but I can't even fathom what possessed her to do that!! She never did that when she was little!! My stomach was in my throat most of the night.. Guest guest
My son has done similar things with me a foot away fromhimor he has run into another room , as he runs through the house sometimes, and he has been caught with the knife. I posted on one group about it, and I think it was this one actually, and i got slammed for " not watching my child closely. " i watch my child closer than any parent i know....too close sometimes. I can empathize with you and i have no suggestions. My son is not allowed to watch anything on tv but appropriate learning channels and we monitor what videos he watches. I think he sees us using knives to cut food and he wants to use a knife. We do not allow him to use even a butter knife. Not sure why This behavior occurs. > > Folks: I just have to tell you, Tori almost gave me a stroke late this > afternoon. > > While I was emptying the dishwasher, Tori was talking with me in the > kitchen.
