Guest guest
<<Tyler has great behavior very compliant. >> Hi, Everyone...Gerrie....if this is so, then he wouldn't need the Risperdal....just an SSRI for the OCD. Unless one has a *wild child*, like I use to call Gareth, then they don't understand the need for meds like Risperdal. ......Matteo sounds so much like Gareth. Here one minute, then lost in space the next. Gareth can shut down in a moments notice and I still can't figure out why. Several yrs ago, they said he had Absence seizures, but after 1 1/2 yrs on 8 different seizure meds, we found out that he wasn't having *electrical* seizures, but pseudo seizures, and the docs don't know what causes them. In the States, spec needs kids can go to school till they are 21, so that is when Gareth finished up *college.* He is now working in a sheltered workshop, 3 days a week, and enjoys it most days. His favorite past time, though, is still sitting in his hammock swing and gazing off into the wild, blue yonder !!! Just like Matteo, simple things like brushing teeth, getting a glass of milk, answering a simple question, or plain old *focusing* seem to be out of his realm on most days. Two yrs ago, we were told to he was showing signs of Alzheimer disease........some days, I have to wonder if it is ME who is in denial. Take care, Everyone.
