Guest guest
We wound up in the er for iv and they gave him something to calm his stomach down and we got the medicine in him. His cough is so loose that it makes him gag on the medicine. They told me to just keep trying every hour if he throws it up. The one medicine comes in iv form but the other doesn't. He is still running a fever that isn't going below 101 even on tylenol suppositories. They also gave him another round of antibiotics at the er so I'm hoping they kick in today. Terry Re: Medicine question Did she give him anything to stop the vomiting like Zofran,Phenegran,Imitrill? Can they give seizure meds in suppository form? I know they can Phenegran to stop the vomiting. They can put him on IV antibiotics to keep him from being dehydrated. http://www.drugs.com/cdi/phenergan-suppositories.html Here is info on OTC vomiting relief: http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/otc-center/otc-medicines/856.html Cyndi B > > > Hi everyone, > woke up sick today and has gotten worse as the day goes on. We went to the dr. and she said bronchitis and ear infection. He was perfectly fine last night. My problem is that she said he didn't appear dehydrated but he hasn't eaten or drank yet since last night. Now I can't get his seizure meds. down he keeps throwing them up and fell asleep. I just can't skip them I am terrified he will have a seizure. She gave him a shot of antibiotics so I don't have to deal with that but the seizure ones are so important especially when he has a fever. I guess I have to wake him and try again but don't know what to do if he can't hold it down. Also can I let him go to tomorrow with no food or fluids? He refuses everything and he's not an ice pop kind of kid. > > > > > Terry > > > >
