Guest guest
What sort of pages do you think are necessary for everyday life to include. Each tabbed divider will represent a different area. For instance, the first tabbed divider will have a velcro sentence strip where he can use PECS to say what he wants for food. (I want broccoli.) Rather than doing this as a means of communication because he is communicating effectively, I am doing this to try and teach him more about sentence structure. Any ideas? Guest guest
Include a page for attributes - I want BLUE/YELLOW playdoh/pencil. I want BIG cookie. I want STRIPY socks. I want ROUND/SQUARE cutter. Also maybe include page for commenting - I see dad/ brother, car, truck etc. I like... PECs / symbol supported sentences can be a great way to build vocab / extend sentence structure. Emma To: From: agirlnamedsuess@... Guest guest
Try going to the PRENTKE-ROMICH website, www.prentrom.com, to find their suggested words and phrases for appropriate age groups. I continue to use their info to help me program Drew's device & it's helpful info for any type of augmentative communication. Gerry-Mom to Drew, 13 in 3 days! Guest guest
That is a good idea. I could have a page for descriptives/attributes, a page for prepositions, a page for different nouns (foods on one page, toys on one page, places on one page). Then i just saw a video clip where the person had a separate sentence strip that they took verbs, nouns, adjectives, etc... And placed them on the sentence strip. Thanks for the ideas. <3 > > > Include a page for attributes - I want BLUE/YELLOW playdoh/pencil. I want BIG cookie. I want STRIPY socks. I want ROUND/SQUARE cutter. Guest guest
Once on their site, I do not see what link to try to find the list of suggested words. Could you point me in the right direction? Thanks, > > > > > Try going to the PRENTKE-ROMICH website, www.prentrom.com, to find their suggested words and phrases for appropriate age groups.
