Guest guest
<< I was just saying to my husband the other day how fortunate we are that 's " medical team " is really good: they are very experienced with special needs, compassionate, respect our position as parents, and genuinely love our son.>> Hi, Everyone.... & Irene....yes, this wasn't Gareth's regular PCP, and yes, his regular PCP and all of his specialists are fantastic with him, too....I guess it was just the look and the condescending tone that got me down. Irene....the running joke for EVERY vacation is whether we can get through it without having Gareth visit the ER!!! Our worst nightmare for ER's was last year in a small, Puerto Rico ER after Gareth woke up with a perforated left ear (again). We didn't know Spanish and they didn't know English. We had to wait for over 2 hrs for an English speaking doc to come in, and then, he was pissy about it!!! Thankfully, there was an American med student there who was VERY nice and considerate and stayed with us for the whole time interpreting for us. <<We don't have a coffee table b/c of this issue.>> ...what's a coffee table? Is that the thing that goes with sofa tables at the end of the couches that we don't have either?!?!? I had forgotten about the *dumping* stage of Gareth's life!!! This thread is funny now......wasn't too funny yrs ago, though!!! We use to look at the room and say *well, hurricane Gareth has been through.* Take care, Everyone.
