Guest guest
<< had a very horrible reaction to Zoloft today (he just started it on Friday for his obsessions and irritability). He was crying and afraid to leave his room because he didn't want to crack his head open and die. It was horrible.>> Hi, Everyone.........please, keep charts of these meds and their reactions. Whatever you do, don't wait the 6-8 weeks for the med to *kick in*. Get him off it and ask the doc for another. Luvox and Lexapro work well for Gareth's OCD....at low doses....that's all he needs. On G's chart, for Zoloft (Feb '99, age 11), I have increases in growling, echolalia, anger, OCD (made it worse), couldn't handle sunshine/bright lights, and a marked increase in his fear of thunderstorms. He also developed bronchial spasms and asthma --- possibly coincidental, who knows. He still has the asthma. He was only on it briefly, too. Take care, Everyone.
