Guest guest
Hi Desi, The group may have noticed that I posted a mention of Zeb and Aubrey's successful night. I was so excited that night that I never paid attention that you emailed me personally to share Aubrey's story and not the group. I am so happy that you decided to share her amazing night to the group. Your story was beautifully written and perfectly captured the emotional coaster that parents endure watching their disabled children in the spotlight. It sometimes takes our blood, sweat and tears to have our children successfully included and when it happens it's just glorious. The community has no idea how difficult it can be. I am so pleased that your story was published. I have no doubt that your reading story will impact your community. On a personal note, my dh has never been overly supportive of any of my beliefs and efforts towards advocacy and inclusion, school and community. He gets somewhat annoyed at the time I spend helping other parents. I read your post to him and Aubrey's story. He finally gets it and apologized to me, now that's a miracle! Thank you for the kind words. Charlyne Mom to Zeb 17 DS
