Guest guest
[Attachment(s) <#12bf57ca18da99ff_TopText> from bob.adapt@... below] After we collect 100,000 signatures we will deliver them to the 82nd Legislature. Please distribute. Get signatures and return them ASAP. Bring some to your place of worship. Where you work. People at bars love to sign petitions while drinking a draft beer or sipping wine. Most signatures by an IL? AAA? ADRC? Any " Yut " out there? High school and college students can help get signatures. Any conferences coming up? I'm sure y'all have creative ideas. Dear advocates, As part of our ongoing efforts to stop the proposed cuts to Texas home and community-based services during the upcoming legislative session, the Invest in Community! campaign has launched a petition drive with an ambitious goal: *at least 100,000 signatures from across Texas by January 7, 2011.* * * Attached are .pdf and Microsoft Word versions of the petition. Here is what we would like you to do: 1. Print out a copy of the petition and sign it. 2. Get nine of your family, friends, colleagues, or others to sign it (there are 10 signature spaces on each page). 3. Mail it back to the address on the bottom of the petition by January 7, 2011! Easy, right? We thought so, too! Of course, you are welcome to gather as many signatures as you possibly can by the deadline. The more you send us, the easier it will be to get to our goal of 100,000 signatures! Also, if you can make and provide copies of the petition to others, please do so. One great way for this petition to multiply itself is to ask everyone who signs it to take a blank petition sheet with them and get 10 signatures from people they know. This is a great way to get lots of people involved in letting the Legislature know that people across Texas oppose cuts to home and community-based services funding! There is also an online version of the petition that you can view and sign at: http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/stoptexascuts, but please only sign this if you are unable to access a hard copy of the petition. Together, we can stop these cuts!
