Guest guest
Hi all. I don't really have questions, just wanted to talk to people who Iknow will understand. I have been on and off this group for years. I've always suspected had ASD, but she was doing fine, so never persued a dx. Last spring she had two near fainting spells. She peed herself (which she hadn't done in YEARS) and almost fell down. She walked into a wall when I let go of her. Anyway, I took her to the doc and we did a bunch of blood pressure and heart tests. She had to have those to be cleared for middle school track. The echo and every other test came out fine. Anyway, since then (I've just put that together, but could be a coincidence) she's been going down hill. Now, I've begun the GFCF diet, been to a DAN dr., am giving her a bunch of supplements, etc....She's not any better. I assumed it was ASD and she was just getting worse. But, could it be something with her brain? And the fainting spells were a symptom of the same? Seizures? A tumor? She has an appt. with a dev. ped. on Oct. 1. That's the soonest she could get in. I'm just so worried about her! I want her back. I know you all went through this too. But, did anyone else's child get way worse at such an old age? will be 15 next month. Like I said, she's always stimmed and been behind others with DS her age. But, now she laughs and smirks (this is new since last spring) can't sleep, and can hardly answer a simple question. She just says uh huh to everythig. And she looks like she just zones out. She didn't used to be like that. Doesn't someone on this group have a child with Alzheimer's? So scary. Could it be that? Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulder.
