Way OT: Need a nurse's opinion?

Hi,

I know there are a few nurses on this list...can u help settle an argument?

My husband believes that Listerine is a disinfectant, to be used outside the

mouth. He disinfected a nail clipper with the stuff tonight. He also put it

into the humidifier one night " to kill the mildew " --it felt more like he wanted

to kill everything that breathes in our house!!! He has admitted that the

humidifier was a bad idea but still thinks that Listerine is a good surface

cleaner. Help??? Or is he right??
