Guest guest
A friend of mine who does medical research and worked with an RA study advised me to start swishing my mouth with listerine a couple of times a day when she heard I was starting methotrexate. She said it is yucchy, but it will keep germs at bay and help me keep from forming sores in my mouth. I don't have any sores yet, but I've only been on methotrexate two weeks. jjuddyy <jjuddyy@...> wrote:Hi All I have recently gone back on Methrotrexate after an 8 year break. As a result I am currently plagued with canker sores on the walls of my mouth and on my tongue. I am taking folic acid and llyscine for them, but they really never go away. I have stopped taking Methro to give mouth a brake. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Guest guest
Biotene toothpaste is really good for not aggrevating the sores and helping to keep the right balance. Guest guest
I agree! I used biotene mouthwash & toothpaste while on chemo, and they really helped. Now I just use the mouthwash, especially in winter. Judi
