Dark circles under the eyes are often a sign of allergies. They are called

allergy shiners. You may know this and have already had him tested for

allergies but just in case I thought I would pass this on. I can always

tell when we are avoiding the right allergens for Isaac because his face

changes - there is no puffiness or dark circles.

We did do the allergy testing and he was allergic to dairy. We went dairy free

for quite some time and then we added in raw goat milk. He did great with

that. We still use it and I have allowed him to have some ice cream and other

dairy like raw cheese..... He seems ok. We do not overdue it tho. Just

occasional. Thanks for your replies. I need all the input I can get! kw

Dairy is a common culprit with our children and often does NOT show up on

allergy tests. The best and cheapest way to determine the allergies is by an

elimination diet. Remove all top 8 allergens and reintroduce one every two weeks

and see what happens. For us, it was dairy. (And dairy is *hidden* under

different names in many processed foods like meats, dressings, packaged/boxed

foods)
