Guest guest Posted September 6, 2010 Report Share Posted September 6, 2010 Our daughter, Kara, is 7 and about 1 ½ years ago she started popping her hips. We took her to the ortho and he basically said not to be concerned…that he’d only seen one child with DS in all of his years have to have surgery. Fast forward to this past Monday – she popped out her hip and it was out for 40 minutes! We took her back to the same ortho and he recommended surgery. We’re going for a second opinion in a couple of weeks but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this? Any suggestions? Has anyone done anything to thwart surgery? Thanks so much!
