Guest guest
Hi, all! Well, 's evaluation is done. The psychologist said the two sessions for his testing went well. The report concluded my son has Autism Spectrum Disorder (as I suspected). It is yet another label, but an important one. He is now connected to the Autism Center for resources, referrals and information. Yeah! I received a guide book called Autism Guidebook for Washington State (I can't wait to read it). One of the most important things, I will have a connection for questions when 's behaviors erupt as they have been the past few years. I asked how a dr. would begin to understand the nature of those behaviors is he/she only sees once a year and the psychologist suggested a Developmental Pediatrician. These pediatricians see their patients 3 or 4 times a year and must be able to develop a base line from those frequent appts. Now I just have to find one. Here's to finally making this important connection for my son! I am so excited that I could not wait to share with everyone because I know you all understand.
