Guest guest
Hi, Everyone....Cyndi....so glad is home but sorry to hear that his cellulitis is still causing problems. I can understand your concern very well............ Gareth still has the open wound on his butt from pilonidal cyst surgery 2 yrs ago!!! They want to operate again (#13 for P cysts) and I haven't given in because it's not infected and it doesn't hurt him. I will keep both of you in my prayers. Joan....glad you chimed in!!! How are you and Andy doing? Take care, Everyone. Margaret
Guest guest
I got a pilonidal cyst on my HEAD from a mosquito biting me. When I went to the doctor, that is what they told me it was (hard to believe). I have poked it several times myself with a sterile pin, which made it smaller, but I refuse to let them cut on my head or inject a needle to numb it (I needed no numbing, as I felt nothing when I poked it.) Maybe I made the right choice, hearing all this? > > Hi, Everyone....Cyndi....so glad is home but sorry to hear that his > cellulitis is still causing problems. Guest guest
Margaret, Thanks and under different circumstances I would be glad to be home but I felt it was too soon. Of course we all sleep better in our own beds. Wow I did not realize Gareth still had an open wound. I remember you talking about the surgery. I felt so bad for Gareth. I have been taking to a wound care specialist for over a year and not been able to get the wound to close. The wound care specialist has given us self adhering wound care patches, silvadine cream, etc. The strange thing about this is at one point had cellulitis on his face but that wound totally healed. The surgeon was concerned that the one on the face healed but the one on his head did not heal. HBOT had it all healed until he got the cellulitis a month later on his face and transferred it to his head. It is a shame the steps we have to go through to get unconventional methods of healing paid for by insurance. When they operated Margaret what were they trying to accomplish? like cleaning it out, stitching it up or were they looking for something? Guest guest
, Sorry to hear that about the cyst. A pilonidal cyst is a cyst at the bottom of the tailbone. Are you talking about Trichilemmal they mainly occur on the scalp or a epidermal (sebaceous) cyst? The sebaceous cyst contains a whitish cheese-like substance.Be careful using a pin cause you can cause yourself to get cellulitis or a staph infection from doing that. had cellulitis from a possible bug on the top of his head in 2007. The cellulitis dropped down in his face and caused his eyes to turn black and blue and swell shut despite antibiotics. Under Burns photos there are pictures of starting the cellulitis and what it looked like after just 3 days. I had a mosquito bite me and cause me to get impetigo (staph) infection. I hate mosquitos. Be careful. Thanks again for inquiring about . Cyndi B > > > > Hi, Everyone....Cyndi....so glad is home but sorry to hear that his > > cellulitis is still causing problems. Guest guest
I know where they traditionally are, but this dermatologist told me this was a pilonidal cyst!!! No wonder the PCP looked at me odd when I said that! That is what the dermatologist said and he said he would have to inject lidocaine, cut it open , and suture it back together, It is on my head. i am a nurse, so I thought his terminology was strange. (Most of the doctors in Toccoa are quacks anyway, and that is one main reason I would not let him cut on my head!!!) HA! Maybe he was trying to say that my head was up my a** from saying it came from a mosquito bite!!!! Well, it did!!! I know because I screamed Ouch and slapped my head (I know sounds funny) and on my hand was a dead mosquito. It used to be the size of a dime. Now, it is the size of a pencil eraser. I think it warrants a second opinion! > > > > > > Hi, Everyone....Cyndi....so glad is home but sorry to hear that his > > > cellulitis is still causing problems.
