Guest guest
Hi, Everyone....Beth....Gareth's teeth are really crooked, too, and yes, we did try to get braces. The problem for him is that his mouth is so small that he gags so easily when they try to put in those metal dishes to take the initial molds for the teeth. He can't stand the smell of the goop and can't get his mouth open wide enough for them to put them in. I can just imagine the scenario if they ever did get them in and he was told to push down into the mold goop!!! We have opted out of that route. He has no cavities or major dental issues. His teeth are crumbling away on the bottom, not from teeth grinding but from dry mouth (SICCA/Sjogren's). He did have to have the bottom 4 filed this past Jan because he came to me and said 'Sharp teeth. " I guess he noticed it when rubbing his tongue over them. Take care, Everyone.
