Guest guest
Back in 1962 when was born nothing was offered to test; I was 29 when was born. He was the third of our six children. We were in the era when the doctor didn't want us to see and place him in an institution. We of course saw him and brought him home and loved him as any of our other children. He will be 48 Sept 24 and for the past 18 yrs has lived in a group home and comes for a home visit a couple times a month. Aside from some medical issues we are checking out he is doing well. How many were even offered any testing for genetic abnormalities? Ultra sound? MFP? Anything? My son was born to a mother who was 35 - still under what was said to be the statistical average. She was offered no genetic screening. But I kow there are mothers way younger than that on this list.
