We have the Maclaren. I don't know about the recall. I will have to check. Is

it the Maclaren Major Special Needs?

They use butterflies on me too. (At 44)

Versed has RED DYE (not sure if you knew that?).

And did you get the recall notice on your Mac? They send you covers for

the edges so that your child does not cut his fingers off in the metal folding

pieces.

My kid is allergic to red dye and it drives me nuts. Why do drug

manufacturer's put it in everything?! There are usually only few good

alternatives out there and it takes forever to find them. I would consider

Versed if Isaac ever needed it because the point would be to get him through

a medical procedure. I can prepare us for the affects of red dye and we

could probably handle it but it really makes a difference with him. It is

as if he is itchy inside and out.

Good info.

I have the maclaren major too - it's actually tucked away now - we don't

really use it anymore... Of course Maclaren probably wouldn't know where to

find me - we're military and have moved since we bought it.

As for Red Dye - I did not know versed contained red dye but for that small

amount, when it does SO MUCH to get us through, I'm willing to over look the

red dye there. Now that I think about it, it is pink colored liquid so yes,

it's gonna have some dye in it. I don't by foods that contain red dye but in

this situation it's one of those, " benefit outweighs the risk " for me. Of

course for someone with an allergy, this would be good info to know. I bet

there's a dye free alternative out there that the anesthesiologist or Google

could tell us about.

Take care,

Jayne
