Guest guest
Hi all. I am feeling overwhelmed, completely frustrated, and almost smothered by my life. I am dreading summer and it's change in schedule with Conor having to go to: O.T., S.T., P.T., horseback (which he adores), music therapy, and tutoring 3X per week. Oh, and 20 hours of TSS time has to be accounted for there too. I just began the first job I've ever loved (20+ years of dreaming of doing this and I finally took the first step!) - teaching a fitness class once per week. I'd like to go further with that and do new classes and so forth. I am also looking ahead to Fall, when both my sons will be in 1st grade and therefore gone all day. I thought of trying to work in Web design and/or graphic design. My question to you all is....how did you manage to work and still be there for your children, still take your special needs kids to their many various appts. over the summer and not lose your mind? I almost feel like my life has been decided for me and I have little to no control. Do I have to give up these dreams of mine? Do I have to give up the things I love? It's now or never since I am 43 years old. I don't have the luxury of waiting several years to do the above mentioned things. Any suggestions? What did you do??? Thanks, Tracey (mom to Conor - soon to be 7 and Liam, age 5)
