Guest guest
There isn't a day goes by that we don't tell Matteo that he is our angel (and I'm afraid it's a while since I said that on a daily basis to his 21 year-old brother who is still going through a loooong adolescence!). BUT I was still surprised recently by a very sweet woman I met at a friend's house. We had been chatting for a while, and she was very interested in him, when she suddenly asked, as if it were a perfectly natural question, whether Matteo ever spoke to angels!?! Now, Matteo doesn't actually speak, but she had been so nice that all I could do was say I really didn't know ...... maybe? ..... if anyone speaks to angels, then it will be him......? Another Woopi Golderg moment was at the end of a plane journey. The woman in the seat beside us had told me her life story and I had told her mine, and the journey had 'flown' by. She had been very helpful when Matteo had blocked on the bus from the terminal, and he was needing a lot of persuasion to get off the plane. We said our goodbyes, and then she turned back to me and said, 'Matteo wants you to know he's sorry about what he's putting you through, and that he loves you very much'. ?????? ..........Oh, OK..........Thanks...... (mum to Matteo, 20 next week, and yes, my angel.....)
