Special Ed. Services in Richmond, VA

Good Morning Everyone,

Does anyone on the list-serv live in the Richmond, VA area? Specifically, what

educational programs are available for our kids? is in an ABA-based

program now and is doing well, plus has excellent therapeutic supports. We are

considering a move to there..we have visited my sister-in-law who lives there on

a number of occasions and really liked the area.

While 's school program in NJ is excellent, my husband has been unemployed

over 20 months (just some sporatic consulting work now and again along with

unemployment) with no opportunity in sight and our taxes will be increasing in

August. Unless a major miracle happens this fall, we will have no choice but to

move . Like so many folks in similar situations, we never thought Jim would be

out of work this long.

Perhaps a website is available that would also help us evaluate the educational

services in Richmond? If anyone knows of such a resource, please let us know.

I've been remiss in responding to e-mails regarding my upcoming hysterectomy on

7/22. Thank you so much for your support and prayers- it means so much.

Hopefully our family can finally begin a new chapter in our lives...it really

has been a hellish (almost) 2 years.

Keep cool today everyone! Northern NJ will hit 101 degrees- ouch!!
