Guest guest
Drew was eating every food group appropriately until he was 2 years old & contracted the Roto-virus (from a ball pit at a pizza restaurant). He couldn't keep anything down for almost 2 days, & became dehydrated, so we took him to the hospital for an IV of fluids, where he stayed overnight. That whole experience scarred him to the point that it took years to get him to eat what he does now: French toast, yogurt, bananas, peanut butter, peanut butter crackers, pudding, applesauce, homemade beans & weinies & beef stew. I have to smash the latter 2 & coat them with ketchup to get him to eat them. I put (hide) Baby Stage 2 green veggies in the beans to get him to eat veggies at all. He takes gummi bear vitamins 2 times a day. We had a nutrition analysis done a few years ago, any the conclusion was that he wasn't lacking in any area except veggies, & that's when the Stage 2 came about. If we try to get him to eat anything else on his own, he refuses. If we try to force him to eat anything else, he gags on it. He is a little over 4' & weighs 70 lbs at 12 years of age. But he was a 5# premie at birth, & had always been in the 25% on the DS growth chart. Any ideas, short of me starving him.... or leaving him with my Mom for 2 weeks??? Thanks.....Gerry
