Guest guest
Hi ya'll, All of last week DJ did not play his beloved gamecube or movies. His years long routine has been to watch a movie at bedtime (passes out in under 10 minutes). Recently this altered to include his newest obsession, the cartoon " Phineas & Ferb " . Suddenly, he instead goes to bed wearing headphones & listening to one of his cds. Says " humpf " & points to cd player if I say " What movie did you pick out? " . Actually started using my wii on the " big " tv. Actually played with a few toys (shock) And followed me around alot talking martian. And was really adament about only watching his shows or movies on the " big tv " whenever we suggested he use his tv.... All week. My brain registered all this without investigation. Ahem, which indicates something is now very wrong with my brain... I mention all this off & on to the spousal unit as well as chuckling about DJ acting like a " real " teenager with those headphones on every night. Well, around Thursday, spousal unit enters teen bedroom for some unknown reason & discovers TV does not work. So he & Dj go to Best Buy-with the very nice less than a year old tv that spousal unit just had to get DJ-to have it checked out since it is still under warranty. TV still looks new-no boo-boos visible. Until the Geek Squad opened the tv & said " Um, no warranty will cover this.. " Spousal unit says from the inside it looked like a bullet hole-so something hit the screen & killed the tv. I wish I could have seen DJ's face when the geek squad dude said something hit the tv. I probably would have rotflmao. Cause he sure put on a good act of studiously ignoring the tv or indicating anything was amiss. Bamboozled us for a week! What a trip. So, dad decides to not replace tv that day as a " lesson " . Today, DJ asked his dad to " Go to BEAST Buy, buy tv for DJ " . Beast buy. lol-lol-lol-lol Love & hugs from Kris-who reminds self & others to ALWAYS investigate...... PS: Yes, dad got him a new tv from Beast Buy & is now pondering how to encase it in plexiglass. And, surprise, no headphones tonight..... Sigh.
