On the topic of make life easier - remove anything you can from your child's

bedroom. No curtains, blinds, pretty bedspread, etc.

Try the basic look - bed, sheet on mattress (hopefully with a full mattress

protector under it, pillow (in a pillow prtedtor with a case over it, and

one blanket or quilt - machine washable. No rugs, no wallhangings, Pretend

to look at the room as one would a room for a kid with allergies -

everything washable in a home washer. For a time, we had a rod that went

thru the dresser, from top to bottom so Elie could not get the drawers open

to spread clothes all around - some people just remove the dresser to a hall

or someplace else. We also put a screen door (old fahioned wood one) with

the lock on the outside and what we call rat screen in it. This confined

Elie to his room so he couldn't mess the rest of the house up while we tried

to sleep.

We left him a few washable toys. At that time he was not yet into marathon

TV?TAPE mode so he had no TV, but if he had one it would have been DUCT

TAPED to his table as he was still throwing anything move able.

Make life easier for you and it will be better for your child - IMHO>
