Yes--R.A. can affect the tendons. I've had tendonitis all over,

including the ankle (posterior tibial).

My hubby, a retired physician, recommends to go for an MRI to find out exactly

what is going on. He things you might have a small tear somewhere in there.

Take care.

Is it relatively common to get tendonitis in both ankles and have one

that doesn't heal? I have had tendonitis now for 6 months with no end

in sight. It originally started out in both ankles and has never

healed on the left side. As you can well imagine, No x-rays have been

done as of yet. Any ideas and/or suggestions would be greatly

appreciated!!!! Kim

Posterior tibial tendonitis can be quite serious; if that's what you

have, the treatment is rest (via walking cast), ice, and

anti-inflammatory meds. A podiatrist diagnosed and treated me for it.
