Greetings from ken..A Poem..........*R.A...The Ghost*

Appearing out of nowhere,

it envelopes, as if a ghost,

coming, and going at will.

Only WE know that " It's there " ,

we are the unwilling host,

and it leaves us weak, and still.

Some of us have spouses who refuse to understand

They say, " You look o.k.to me.... "

not understanding the pain at hand,

I guess it's hard for some to see.

Some get " short " , and " curt " ,

and wonder why we can't keep up " the pace " ,

Not seeing just how bad we hurt,

For, we bravely keep the smile on our face,

Maybe some " forgot " the vows, thru good times, and thru bad.

For those whose marriage is " rocky'....I feel so very bad.

We deal with Doctors who don't really try,

and brush us off,like dust upon their shirt,

refusing to see that inside we cry,

that inside we really hurt.

I tip my hat to those of you,

who somehow find the strength to rise from bed,

knowing you've got that job to go to,

despite the pain that would make the " normal " dead,

Only to hear at work the words " Well, all it is is arthritus! "

Too bad we just can't up and say " Why don't you all just Bite us! "

We cannot do the things we did,

just like we did before...but yet we try to keep on going strong,...

with joints that grind upon the bone,that takes away our song....

yet, still, we try to sing.

and wait upon the flare to go,and pain to ease the sting.

and all we really have is one another!

I Praise each one of you, who help each other!

I know who the " Heros are!!!!! They are YOU!
