Hi Margaret,

You are so right when you say what works for one person, may not work for

another..I love meat and dairy too, though I'll be cutting back on my meat

intake due to the colon cancer and will be substituting more chicken and fish

from now on.

I'm starting to feel better.....fatigue will be an issue for a while and I have

hand and feet neuropathies from the chemo, but these too, will eventually pass.

I just had my port-a-cath removed this morning! I was so happy to get this

contraption out.....it's another type of victory to say that this cancer journey

is over. As the nurse said, " I've been " de-ported " , lol!

Best,

Hi, Everyone....Holly.....Happy Birthday to Jake!!! How's your anxiety

level with the move preparations?!?!? Gareth is already asking for another

house and I tell him " Nope, this is it. No more moves. " " Why? " he asks!!!

This is house number 8 for him and I think he's bored with it already

after only 2 yrs here!!!

....how is your txmt coming along now? Cancer is a lot like our

kids.....what works fine for one person may do little or nothing for the next

person. I found the article interesting because I struggle to get the 5

servings a day you're suppose to. I'm big on dairy and meats.......a cold

chicken leg is a heck of a lot more appealing to me than an apple!!! I do

have to eat a banana every evening or I will have wicked leg cramps throughout

the night. It took some stress off my mind since I don't eat my F &

V's!!! I am sure, next month there will be another article stating otherwise,

too!!!

Ali....if I did that with Gareth at age 6 he would have had a major

meltdown with head banging, etc. We always had to put him in a quiet room with

his own TV/VCR. I do think our kids retain 'unpleasant' memories and relive

them over and over and over again. I think it's part of the OCD that goes

with the autism. I know, back, then, when Gareth would get angry or

upset, it was something that he fixated on for days.......he just wasn't able to

let go of it.

Take care, Everyone.

Margaret
