Hi, Everyone.... Sherry... .Gareth had a needle in his hand that slipped out

and he woke up with a Popeyed hand. Actually, it looked like a surgeon's

rubber glove all blown to the max!!! After they removed the needle and IV,

it did go down, but it took quite some time. I'm curious as to whether the

IV Iron infusion did any good if it didn't go into her veins, though.

Another first for Gareth Sat. morning..... ...convulsive syncope with tonic

episode..... something ONLY Gareth could come up with!!! The neuro doc said

it can't be from Epil seizures since they were ruled out last Sept. He

said it was from G's Orthostatic hypotension. ....basically, his blood

pressure dropped so low that it shut off O2 to the brain and out he went. Scared

the s*#@ out of me and Dad --- started with shaking and peeing on the

toilet seat, then eyes rolled backed, he got stiff as a board, fell backwards

and whacked his head on the windowsill going down, then started gagging.

All this from standing up to get out of the bath and stepping out of the

bathtub!!! I thank God I was already in there helping him get dried off. At

least his head didn't whack the windowsill too hard!!! Tomorrow, we go

to see a doc who spec in adult DS pts. Perhaps, he's got some ideas of his

own.

Take care, Everyone.

Margaret
