Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm a new mom at this listserv. I have a daughter who is 2 years old and has Down Syndrome and a newborn baby son. Our daughter is in a waiting list to be examine for possible autism. So, I joined this list to hear more about other parents and how are they coping with the dual diagnosis. I hope to learn more from all of you Regarding the full-time-work versus the stay-at-home mom, I most say this is not always a choice. At least in my case it isn't. My husband and I agree that it would be great for me to stay at home to watch over our daughter, see her therapies and be on top of her appointments. However, I can't do that due to our mortgage payments and other obligations. Neither one of us can leave either job. We can't sell our house either because the house value has dropped too much.
