Guest guest
Children who can't talk often become violent out of frustration. Does your daughter have some way to communicate with you? Gestures? How do you know what she wants or needs? Have you been offered sign language, pictures, or some other way for her to let you know what she wants? There are lots of causes of violence--some of them we can't figure out--but not being able to communicate is very frustrating and will lead to violence. Guest guest
~~ I found our son had a lot of aggression issues from milk products and chocolate. Have you tried removing these from her diet? Good Luck~~ Rose hi i am new to the group hi my name is veronica and i have a child who was diagnosed with adhd and pdd autism 2 yrs ago. now shes almost 6 and still dont talk she gets vilonet at times and even though shes on meds it seems like she dont care. do u have any suggestions on what we should do. thanks veronica Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author(s), and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. ==========TRUNCATED================
Guest guest
When I replied last night I wrote only about communication and violence. There are of course lots of factors that might be playing a role, and I'm glad Rose brought up the possibility of certain foods. Tummy aches, headaches, foods, food dyes, and allergies are all possibilities---much better to identify what's causing the problem and deal with that, if you can, rather than just using a medication. You don't mention where you live, and if you are getting connected with someone experienced with non-traditional approaches to ADHD/PDD/Autism, esp and DAN! practitioners; you can learn a lot from this group, and you can learn where the doctors who are known to this group are working. Guest guest
Welcome Joyce. I'm 51 and have had RA for 30 years. I've had my knees replaced and could use a few ankles when they have a better success rate. What joints have you had replaced? a On Sep 15, 2005, at 2:06 PM, JOYCE wrote: > Hi All > I have just joined this group today > I am 57 years old.
