Guest guest
Arguing about canola oil is like arguing about which came first...the chicken or the egg. There is no definitive answer and there are solid arguments on either side. Our double PhD nutritionist advised us to use it...but rotate it with other oils would eat. And we do. We buy organic expeller pressed canola oil...(made from organic plants in Western Canada...or so it says). I couldn't find 4 different oils to rotate at the time we began 's rotation diet so we continued using it. She gets about 2TB blended into her food once every 4 days. Others we use are walnut, olive, and sunflower. She seems to react to coconut oil despite all it's wonderful qualities. Sesame oil she gags on...me too actually. I suppose we need to give kemp oil....errr Hemp oil a try one of these days. Sherry
Guest guest
I'm telling you Sherry, we can make a business out of kemp or hemp! Oh, that has already been done. You are too funny. It is good to have two sides. We use canola oil. I looked up urban legends and decided that for our family, canola oil and olive oil are fine. This conversation reminds me of posted ones regarding peanut butter. It works for some and not for others. I think it is Sara that has Elie eating hummus instead of peanut butter - not for allergies but for weight issues. My boys are thin so they eat peanut butter - in fact my husband wants us to take out stock in Skippy but she still inspired me to start making hummus. Now my Tony LOVES red pepper hummus. I have to make it all the time and then beg him to share. Sometimes he does. But he gets really mad if I put in too much garlic. Everyone is a critic. Lori Mom to Isaac and Tony - we are off to the indoor swimming pool even though it is snowing. It is hard to get emotionally ready for swimming when it is snowing. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of gldcst Sent: Wednesday, December 30, 2009 11:57 AM To: Subject: Re: Canola Oil and Rape Seed Arguing about canola oil is like arguing about which came first...the chicken or the egg.
