Guest guest
First thanks for your all your imput on this matter. I know already that IEP's are just a pain in the back.. but we all have to go though them So this meeting wasnt (now after we had it) and IEP meeting. Here is the back ground: Gabby has been at this program since april of last year, we have a communication book that most of the time comes back with just a copy paper of what the class did, but no notes on what did Gabby do during the day. over the past 3 months or so... we noticed big changes on her. She was over stressed when she came from school, She refused to even get close to the bathroom, she throws her toys to the floor with no reason ... and more things like that. One of the main things that really bug me was the fact that her lunch bag came as I send it.. meaning that in the 5 hours she was away from me she had nothing to eat or drink.. for a 4 year old.. i think it is a lot. one of the responses I got on her comunication book was that if she couldnt open her zipper lunch box she wouldnt get the food... We are talking about a little girl whose fine motor skills are not the best!! Come on!! So back to the meeting.. The whole team sat down just to cover their backs on what they have done. They all saw progress ( really?? I dont see that in the house) and they think this is the place for her to stay.) the whole time they were so defensive that it got to a point my husband said.. enough.. we know we dont want her here and that's that. So the next step for what our " service coordinator " said.. is to have a meeting with her supervisor.. and maybe bring lawyers with us.... Arggh... Belive me.. I had people on my side.. A friend was there taking notes like crazy and also the person who will do her intake eval for Kindergarten... They were so unprofessional.. none of them even say good bye at the end of the " meeting " .. no eye contact no even asking about how is Gabby doing during these weeks she has been out... And these are the people who care for her??? Sorry for the venting.. but I'm so frustrated...
