Hey, 's supposed to get one, through the school (on their $$) that will

not leave school. However, our teachers/CST see GoTalk as a " proof of concept " .

The idea is, if catches on, they will do an assistive tech eval and try

to figure out what's best for him, long-term. At that point, our insurance co

will be billed and the device will be ours.

Dunno if this is what your school is planning...

So, it looks like it will be a bit longer for a Go Talk. We have to wait for

Medi-Cal denial before they submit it to committee at our regional center.

And the school got a 2nd one, smaller, I guess, to try and they will not

send it home. I am so angry.

you might want to check with a advocate according to my thinking it should be

able to be used at home they might have you sign a waiver,like our school did.

Use of asistive tech is something that requires consistency and not having use

of it at home is causing harm
