Guest guest
I picked Isaac up from school and his first words were " My teacher is an asshole! " So of course I said, " wait, wait, wait " tell me what happened. And I asked for his point sheet. According to his point sheet Isaac had a great day. He is on a point system. 3 is the best, then 2, then 1. If he makes it through the day without a zero. He is supposed to get a quarter. He did not get a quarter AND at the end of the day his teacher said something like " you behave or I will take away recess " and then she and Isaac argued about that. So, that was the whole story. He didn't do anything wrong but his teacher warned him about maybe losing recess. We have been fighting with the school because he isn't supposed to lose recess. His body is too active. He is supposed to get other consequences but it isn't spelled out well enough in the IEP and he has lost recess recently - which is why we are arguing with the school but theoretically Isaac doesn't know this. I don't tell him when I contact the school. If he loses recess I tell him next time to remember to behave. He usually loses recess for being sassy. He is sassy. That is why he has a point sheet. But anyway, then we ran to the office and dropped off supper for the DH who has a training tonight and hasn't felt well since the other day when he had McD's (it always makes him sick - you would think that would stop him). So Isaac went into an empty office and called 911 and told them to arrest his teacher because she is too mean and belongs in jail. Then he came out of the empty office and told me what he did. He said, " We better get out of here quick, I think the police are coming. " I said, " no Isaac, we have to face the music. If you called them we have to explain " . We went out into the hallway and sure enough there were the police. But they took one look at Isaac (and Tony was hopping nearby) and were very nice. I explained. They left. Isaac lost TV for the night. It is sad when the police are more understanding than the teacher. Lori Mom to Isaac, 13 and Tony 11 - who all need a vacation someplace warm
